Nutritional Therapy is a science based, yet holistic approach focused on the fact that food, as nature intended, is a form of medicine that can heal, protect, nurture and support good health. It is both a system of healing and prevention that can help improve every system of the body.
As a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I focus on bio-individuality, meaning there is no “one size fits all” (or even one size fits most) when it comes to health. I customize practical dietary and lifestyle changes, as well as include therapeutic supplements (when needed) to help restore balance within the body.
When working to restore health and wellness within the body through nutrition and other holistic therapies, we are working with the body’s biochemistry. The most basic, and sometimes most effective therapy is a person’s diet. Many people don’t make the connection between their daily habits and the symptoms they suffer, and for this reason, I specialize in foundational health.

A nutrient-dense diet provides your body with the raw materials (vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals) to begin to detoxify and heal itself. This is the foundation of your nutritional program. Basic nutrition is the first, and most important, step on your journey towards greater health and happiness.

Stable blood sugar levels provide consistent energy for the body, and and imbalance can affect stress levels, mood, hormones, sleep quality, and cause multiple deficiencies and symptoms.

HYDRATION: WATER IS LIFE
Water is the most important nutrient considering the fact that it makes up at least 60% of the body. You’ve probably heard the joke that humans are just walking cucumbers with anxiety – well, there’s some truth to that! Water is essential for numerous functions, some of which include keeping cells hydrated and protected, transporting nutrients, and eliminating waste.
DETOXIFICATION: HEAL & REPAIR
Detoxification is the way the body heals and repairs itself with an internal cleansing process that takes place continuously and naturally, freeing vital cellular and organ activities to function efficiently. You wouldn’t build your dream house at the city dump, right? Well either would the body! When the body is burdened with more chemicals than it can efficiently detoxify, chronic health problems can occur such as; allergies, hormonal imbalances, skin problems, digestive issues, headaches, fatigue, joint pain, and a variety of other concerns.

EMOTIONAL & ENERGETIC WELLNESS: THE BLUEPRINT
An emotional trigger or energetic cause can be one of the main reasons for a reoccurring symptom, chronic pain, a plateau in healing, or just an overall unwell feeling. A majority of my practice includes Metaphysical Counseling because the emotional aspect is above all, the most important piece in true health, as it creates the subconscious blueprint, meaning the body responds to our core beliefs.
Understanding the Process
Imbalances in any of these areas will manifest as different symptoms for each person. The strength of our work together lies in the ability to detect and correct underlying dysfunction in these foundations.
When working towards healing the body from the inside out, it’s important to understand that symptoms are the last thing to appear, which means whatever the concern is, it has most likely been building for years. For this reason, it is crucial to know that nutritional therapy is not a quick fix, or a band-aid. We work on creating harmony on the energetic level, which in turn provides long-term health benefits.
We do not count calories, jump on the newest diet trends, or slap a generic protocol on it. We get down to the root of the problem, and rebuild from the ground up.
My goal and responsibility as your practitioner is to empower you, and provide you with the tools and resources needed so that you can take your health and happiness into your own hands – creating a sustainable way of living that makes you feel nourished in every way!
What makes our work together different
I’ve been in the holistic healthcare realm for nearly 20 years, and throughout that time I have received extensive training and mentoring, as well as over 2,000 hours of continuing education in clinical nutrition, herbal and homeopathic remedies, metaphysical science, energetic, psychic, and emotional healing.
Beyond my education, I have also lived it personally. I know what it’s like to feel alone, lost and hopeless, which is why I am passionate about helping others THRIVE.
